la nuit de l’angoisse » a les misérables fanmix [listen]a thought of anguish which mingled with the impenetrable gloom of this quarter where all was at the point of being decided; a redoubled anxiety around that silence whence a catastrophe was on the point of emerging

Just as the pocket watch clock faces are melting, symbolizing a destabilization of time within the painting’s surreal, dreamlike world, Will’s own sense of time and space — his ‘losing time’ — is also softening, leaving him disoriented and confused in a world that seems more like a senseless, nightmarish painting than a reflection of reality. His vivid dreams, which have long been compromised, are now leaking into his day-to-day experiences; he hallucinates, disassociates, wakes to confusion and warped realization. He draws drooping, jumbled clock faces and cannot tell that anything is wrong, because what he perceives has become distorted. His comprehension of the world is melting around him, while he — like the amorphous figure on the ground, whose long-lashed eye appears to be closed in sleep — is powerless to stop it, ultimately unsure what is real, and what is not.
His time, his dreams — his imagined, hallucinatory memory — persists. And true to what Dalí’s ants famously symbolize, death will claim him if he remains in this fading state for very much longer.
Tomme Stolar (Empty Chairs At Empty Tables) as performed by Kim Persson. 5 March 2014 - Haugesund, Norway.
Okay, let me just tell you guys about this Empty Chairs because the first time I saw this I was expecting it to be the normal ‘Les Amis comes out, stares at Marius, then leaves’ and iT WASN’T AND IT WAS AMAZING?? And I was just in complete shock because that was really not what I expected and I just cried lots, and then the second time I was going to see it I realised I HAD to at least try to film it for other people to see and so this is me trying to do so (and failing because wow I film his head for the most part and yeah it’s much better live than here sooo). I just really wanted to show you guys. Oh and yeah the guy on the chair is Grantaire and he was such an adorable Grantaire and wow I just loved him so much. And I just realised you can’t see the chair because apparently I’m terrible at filming bootlegs and that’s also the thing they’re staring at towards the end in case you were wondering. And nope I don’t have any other videos, but I do have and audio
that’s so much better than Alice’s, so if anyone’s interested let me know :) And also omg this Marius is the cutest Marius I have ever seen and he might even have been cuter than Guido Balzaretti in Los Mis (and definitely cuter than Rob Houchen so that says a lot) and he was just so adorable and sweet and goofy and aaaaahhh
